Day 20/365 Let's face it, even though Disneyland is dubbed the Happiest Place on Earth, it's also one of the more expensive places to visit. With ticket prices increasing and hotel rates surging, it can cost a pretty penny to visit the original Magic Kingdom. 5 Tips for a High Score on Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

Day 18/365 Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters is one of my favorite rides at Disneyland, probably because it's a game AND a ride! Personal Record I love seeing if I can get a better score than my all-time personal best, which is pretty good, if I do say so myself! My average score is around 200,000-300,000, so I've never gotten close to a million again since this day in 2017. I'm quite competitive, and so is my daughter, so much so that she won't ride with me. My son just likes to play the game to shoot aliens and help Buzz without worrying what his score will be. Maybe we should all be more like him. Nah! Your Space Cruiser readout will only go to 999,999 But you can score much…

It’s My One-Year Blogiversary!

365/365 I can't believe it's been a year since I launched 365 Magical Days of Travel! I feel like it's been longer than that in some ways, but so much shorter in others. I've had so much fun and learned so much in the past year. Mostly, though, I want to thank all of the people who have supported me in my first year. You all are the reason I can't wait to jump right into the next 365 days with both feet! My Family Where would I be without my family's support, right? From the late nights up writing to the "Hang on, I've just got one more thing to post!" to getting just the right picture for the blog, my family has been very patient with me this…

About Me

Hello, I’m Debra! My husband once remarked, “I think you love planning vacations more than the actual vacation!” Wise words, and maybe a little bit true. I was born, raised, and still live in Phoenix, Arizona, and grew up taking family vacations to Disneyland. Now I love to share my love of all things Disney with my husband and two kids. We try to take trips to Disneyland at least once a year, made it over to the East coast in 2016 to introduce the kids to Disney World, and even sprung for annual passes to Disneyland in 2017. When the pandemic hit, we slowed our travel to a crawl, but still made trips to relax and visit family. My Current Travel Goal Now, my current goal is to…

Trip Report: Spring Break 2019, Part 3

193/365 Yesterday, I shared about using our Season Passes at Six Flags for Spring Break. Without the kids knowing, I planned a stop at Knott's Berry Farm that extended our trip another day. You can read Part 1 about our budget here, and Part 2 about the first half of our trip here. Thursday Keeping a Secret I have a hard time keeping surprises from the kids. I like to get them involved in the planning and hype them up for a trip rather than spring something on them. However, this time, I kept the Knott's Berry Farm portion of our trip a complete surprise. They knew I had gone on my conference trip and were insanely jealous. "We've NEVER been to Knott's Berry Farm! That's not fair!" I had…
