It feels really great to do something for someone else, especially when you are so fortunate in your life to have health, wealth, and happiness, which I feel like I have in abundance. November is the month when we celebrate gratitude, and my Facebook feed is flooded with my friends who have taken on the challenge to express their gratitude for something in their lives each day of the month. I love reading these inspiring testimonials.

#shareyourears

This week, Disney launched a campaign to raise money for Make-A-Wish.

From November 4-17, 2018, take a photo showing off your Mickey Mouse ears – or any creative “ears” – and upload it to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. For every public photo posted with #ShareYourEars, Disney will donate US $5 to Make-A-Wish, up to US $2 million to grant even more life-changing wishes. This is all part of the Disney Team of Heroes commitment to deliver comfort and inspiration to families around the world.

Since 1980, Disney has helped Make-A-Wish grant more than 130,000 wishes – experiences that not only brighten lives but also help wish kids and their families replace fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope.

So, get ready – and get creative! Don’t have ears? Create your own out of just about anything. Make them simple or fancy; artistic or wacky. Then put them on and join your favorite heroes, celebrities and athletes in helping make wishes come true!

Get Involved

What makes this challenge even more spectacular is that you get to do something for someone else, a critically ill child and their family in this case, without it costing you a penny! Once you’ve shared your photo on social media, check out shareyourears.org to see other people’s posts and maybe even come across your own! There is also a Donate button at the top of the site if you’d like to make your own contribution.

So get out there and #shareyourears!
